THE HOUSE

The house, and Shimon (my car).

Home Stats:
Mike closed on the house May 20th, 2011. It was a huge learning experience for both of us, but definitely well worth it. This was a foreclosure, and he paid an amazing price for it.

With it being a foreclosure, we did have a fear that our inspection might come back with all kinds of crazy things on it, but surprisingly it came back clean. Every problem with the house was purely cosmetic.

We knew going in that there was a LOT of work to do, but that part excited us.

The blind wizards that formerly inhabited the place made new paint (in EVERY room), lighting, flooring, and fixtures necessary... but again, this was exciting!

It is a condo, so we do have the great advantages of a pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts. And since this is both of our first non-apartment living experience (besides our parents homes), that makes things a little more friendly for us.

A downside to that is parking, since we technically only have two parking spaces (one in the garage, and one out). But we're not big partiers, so hopefully it won't be a big deal.
