Well, not actually.
But we spent lots of money there today. And if weren't for said spent money, this post would not be possible.
My mother's friend, and our contractor Alejandro gave us the happy news last night that he would be able to install our kitchen and bathroom tile on Wednesday as long as we had all of the tile, grout, and mortar purchased by then.
So naturally, because of our disgust with this:
... we immediately went out to grab the necessary materials. So armed with the following list from Alejandro, we got to shopping.

Floor and Decor is always a fun trip. Even more fun with my brother Marco.
Marco fell in love with this shower. |
Jackpot. |
We decided to go with the Pisoforte Rio Pelotas 12x12 Porcelain tile in the color Bone. Our goal was to match the tile in the entry way and downstairs bathroom, and this was the closest and cheapest.
After abusing my poor Camry with this load. We took a trip to Home Depot to buy the Mortar and Grout.
He loves blog pictures. |
We went with the Custom Building Products Grout in the color Bone (here) and a thin-set mortar in the same brand in grey.
All in all, we spent about $200 dollars on materials. Is that a deal? It definitely sounds like one.
